Old meets new...

I've been digging out my old tapestry stamps and making my own pretty backgrounds with my brand new Tonic dies - these are Twisting Veranda. Tapestry stamps are tiny single images, the old style ones are mounted on wooden pegs, and you just ink them up and dot them around your shape. They are such fun as it all starts off a bit messy and then suddenly you have a pattern, or a sea of colour, and it just feels right!

From the very same set of dies - can you see the  two stripey effect dies that change the impact of the card quite considerably. I've kept it 'pretty' but I can definitely see a use for these on male cards!

  1. Hi Nicky
Two very pretty cards, when I see cards that have been stamped I want to get mine out! However, whenever I stamp it always ends up with me ruining the card!
    Hugs x

    1. Thank you Heather! I just do my stamping a bit at a time - panel by panel. if it goes wrong just cut another one and try again.....or stick a bee or a ribbon on that bit!!!! Nicky x
